Teaching Assistant
Exciting Opportunity: Teaching Assistant at a Leading Therapeutic Education Service in Liverpool.
Position: Teaching Assistant - SEMH
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £24K-£26K Depending on experience and Qualification
Key Responsibilities
* Mentor, Support, inspire: Work closely with learners, providing curriculum-based support both in the classroom and through home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities.
* Prepare and Deliver: Assist in preparing learning materials and contribute to achieving learning objectives, with a strong emphasis on behavioural management.
* Track Progress: Maintain daily reports on learners' progress and address any barriers to learning.
* Engage with Families: Regularly communicate and interact with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to education.
Ideal Candidate
* Passion for SEND: Demonstrates a committed and passionate approach to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
* Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in a SEND environment or similar educational setting.
* Qualifications: A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.

About The School
The provision is a co-educational school and provides a supportive and personalised education programme for pupils aged between 5-17. The school caters for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour. The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental wellbeing needs.
Additionally, many of our pupils present with significant social and communication difficulties influenced by trauma or complex emotional difficulties. The school prides itself on providing specialised interventions than those provided in a mainstream school.
