About the Role
We are seeking caring and committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in the Thurrock area. This role focuses on supporting pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. SEND)
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored and engaging learning activities
3. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
4. Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs
5. Encourage independence, confidence, and participation
6. Assist with classroom preparation and general duties
Requirements
7. Previous experience working with children or individuals with additional needs (preferred)
8. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Understanding of SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs) is desirable
11. Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 LSA or TA) are advantageous but not essential
