The role will close when a suitable candidate is found Location : This role is available in our London and Manchester offices About the Role As an Analyst in our Statistics team, you will work on projects involving the statistical analysis of clinical and health data, as well as the communication of relevant methods and results to clients and the wider community. Statistics projects involve analysing patient-level clinical trial data, observational study data and real-world data, as well as synthesising published aggregate data to answer particular questions about relevant treatments or therapeutic areas; for example, whether one treatment is more effective than another in terms of a given outcome. When working as an Analyst on these projects, you will work closely with Statisticians to plan analyses, including carrying out detailed assessments of the feasibility of conducting statistical analyses, determining appropriate methodologies and assumptions from a statistical and clinical perspective and writing up protocols. The role would then involve critically appraising statistical analyses, interpreting the results of complex analyses and presenting these in written and oral formats to a variety of audiences including our clients, healthcare professionals and reimbursement agencies such as NICE in the UK. You will work in multidisciplinary project teams alongside experienced colleagues from across the company, and will be provided with one-to-one training on the technical aspects of the role, as well as on project management and effective client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients and, following a successful induction period, you will increasingly participate in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders. Our Statistics team works on several projects at one time and the results of statistics projects can feed into publications, value materials or Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions. You will therefore be exposed to a wide variety of the services offered by Costello Medical and a broad range of therapeutic areas. At the same time, we recognise that homeworking can improve work life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments. Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home 1 day per week.
