Family Intervention Worker - Reunification

We’re looking for three Grade 12 Family Intervention Workers for our new Reunification Service in Somerset.
Permanent full‑time positions (37 hours per week) with 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Flexible working, with work in children’s homes, from a contracted location and occasionally from home.
What will I be doing?
* Work intensively with children and their parent/carer to support reunification with families.
* Deliver specialist interventions, offering parenting and behaviour support, with training provided.
* Collaborate with multi‑agency teams and partner agencies to secure sustainable outcomes.
* Contribute to regular reviews of progress and further needs.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
* Experience or knowledge of Children Looked After and Care Leavers.
* Understanding of assessment and planning for children, young people and families.
* Experience of multi‑agency safeguarding work.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
* Organisational skills to meet intervention timelines.
* Excellent communication, attention to detail and IT skills; min GCSE Grade C/Level 4 in Maths and English.

Salary and other details
The salary range for this role is £28,298 to £32,061 per annum.
Travel is required, including outside standard hours and to areas not serviced by public transport.
This role requires a criminal background check via the Disclosure procedure (DBS).
