* Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
* Location: Stoke‑on‑Trent (ST1 4EE)
* Hourly Rate: £16.50 per hour
* Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 160 hours per month
* Employment Type: Permanent
* Sleep‑ins: £45 per sleep
* Service: Children’s Residential Home (4-bed)
* Service Users: Children and young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
* Number of Beds: 4
Qualifications Required
Level 3 Children & Young People’s Workforce and QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management, or willingness to work towards Level 5.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
* Leading shifts and modelling high standards of care and safeguarding practice
* Mentoring, coaching, and supervising staff to ensure consistent delivery
* Supporting care planning, risk management, key work, and placement stability
* Maintaining accurate recording and contributing to inspection readiness
* Building a positive culture where young people feel safe, listened to, and supported
