Surrey Fire & Rescue Service is recruiting a Driving Standards and Compliance Manager for a role involving oversight of a diverse fleet of modern response vehicles equipped with on-board CCTV and telematics systems. These systems are in development to assist in managing driving standards, collision, and incident investigations within the service.

About the Role
The Driving Standards and Compliance Manager will be part of the 'Driver Training' team, reporting to the Driver Training Manager and working alongside three driver trainers. As an embryonic role, you will have the opportunity to shape how the function is delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and monitoring data to ensure drivers are correctly licensed and driving professionally according to SF&R standards
* Identifying opportunities for educational interventions and training
* Supporting investigations of collisions and driving incidents
* Advising on road/vehicle incident risks within the Health and Safety Working Group
* Collaborating with stakeholders on telematics and CCTV projects for the fleet
* Developing KPIs to maximize service benefits
Shortlisting Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate:
* A full, clean manual driving licence for categories B and C (willingness to acquire Category C if not held)
* A recognised response driving qualification from a statutory emergency service (specify highest qualification and date)
* Experience in collision investigation and reduction
* Data analysis skills to identify trends
* Driver training experience within emergency services such as Fire, Police, or Ambulance
