A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. The post is within the Surgery Research Department and will commence in August 2026. The successful candidate will work as part of a research group, participate in the StR level on call rota, and contribute to teaching clinical medical students from the University of Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities
* Register for a higher degree with the University of Nottingham.
* Participate in the StR level on call rota and the general surgery emergency rota.
* Provide teaching to undergraduate, postgraduate, and clinical medical students.
* Contribute to ongoing clinical research projects and investigate various hypotheses within the department.
* Assist in surgical procedures at ST3 level and above.
* Support research activities including data collection, analysis and dissemination of findings.
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent qualification.
* GMC registered at the time of application.
* Ability to reside and work in the United Kingdom.
* Competent in conducting operative procedures at ST3 level and above.
* Experience in teaching, delivering presentations and publishing in the medical field is desirable.
