* Operate autonomously within the scope of competency while supporting less experienced staff.
* Assist with implementing and developing pharmacy support for all residential wings, including advising patients on correct medication use where appropriate.
* Maintain clear, comprehensive, signed and contemporaneous records in both written and electronic form.
* Recognise signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol withdrawal, support patients with substance misuse problems, and assist patients who are distressed, at risk of harming themselves or others, or at risk of suicide.
* Communicate effectively with team members, prison staff and external agencies, both verbally and in writing.
* Undertake all mandatory and additional training as identified.
* Use and encourage others to be familiar with the prison’s security systems.
