Lead Design Engineer We are working with a key client, founded in 1960, is a “Leader by Design” of high and low-pressure cartridge valves, reducing stations, and manifolds for critical and demanding applications. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join their business in Oldham. Key requirements for the Lead Design Engineer: * Must have over 5 years working experience as a Lead Design Engineer * Ideally degree educated in in Mechanical Engineering or related field * We will consider apprentice trained individuals * Experience of 3D CAD is required * Must have extensive experience and proven background in engineering manufacturing * Must have some experience of leadership and mentoring small to medium teams * Strong grasp of mechanical principles and system design methodologies * Experience with MathCad for pressure and strength calculations would be beneficial * Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus * Knowledge of GD&T practices and manufacturing engineering is highly desirable * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly * Leadership potential with a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset The leadership skills to maintain and develop specialised mechanical design team. * Security clearance and DBS checks will be carried out Attributes: ...
