Overview
RECfinancial is working with an established Leicestershire-based accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Senior Management Accountant for their growing finance team. The role offers hybrid working after probation and focuses on the wellbeing of staff, situated in the heart of the business. The practice has experienced significant growth and is located in Leicester, easily accessible by car from Leicestershire, Nottingham, Coventry and Derby.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients and build strong working relationships
* Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
* Analyse financial performance and provide clear commentary
* Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial projections
* Process journals and period‑end adjustments (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Review accounting records and resolve queries
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Contribute to process improvements and the use of cloud accounting technology
Skills & Qualifications
* AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping
* Strong systems knowledge including Xero, Sage (and Dext), and Excel
* Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills

Salary: £34,000 – £41,000 per annum
