Protocol Education are seeking enthusiastic and passionate students and graduates to work in both mainstream and SEN schools in BS6. If you are studying subjects such as Psychology, Social Sciences, Education or Sports, OR you generally have a passion for working with and supporting children, you have the skill set that we are looking for.
There are multiple roles available and you will work with a locally based consultant with links to all schools to find out the best fit for you. Roles include: Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor/Unqualified Teachers, Behaviour Support, Tutors, Admin and more.
Your role will include:
1. Providing 1:1 emotional and wellbeing support for pupils
2. Supporting children during moments of emotional overwhelm or challenge
3. Encouraging positive routines, engagement and healthy coping strategies
4. Working closely with class teachers and pastoral teams
5. Helping pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn throughout the school day
This is a people-focused role where you’ll gain valuable classroom and pastoral experience, while making a genuine difference to pupils’ day-to-day school life.

6. A recent graduate or someone looking to take their first step into education
7. An interest in child development, wellbeing, behaviour or pastoral support

9. Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport
10. Confidence supporting children who need encouragement, reassurance or guidance
11. A calm, consistent presence within the classroom and wider school environment

12. Hourly rates (between £ and £15), paid weekly via PAYE
13. £250 referral bonus when you recommend an ECT

What we need to clear you:
27. Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
28. Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence or utility bill
29. CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
30. Two years of references, including voluntary, childcare or youth work where relevant
31. Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
