Job Title: Junior Retail Designer
We are seeking a Junior Retail Designer responsible for designing and manufacturing fixtures, fittings, and equipment for retail spaces.
The Team
The Property Development team leads the delivery of new store openings and upgrades. We are passionate about your development and eager for you to learn new skills. Footasylum supports gaining experience in areas you are passionate about and building confidence in your work. You will receive encouragement and support from the team and the wider business.
About You
The ideal candidate will have some retail experience and possess:
* A creative background with retail experience (including retail sales)
* A keen eye for retail design and the ability to innovate store concepts
* Knowledge of FF&E design for retail
* Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and prototyping
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software
* Experience with 3D visual software like SketchUp
* Ability to use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Responsibilities
* Deliver technical drawings of in-store components to external suppliers for prototyping
* Create bespoke joinery, upholstered furniture, and custom metal fixtures for retail spaces in collaboration with Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams
* Value engineer existing fixtures, fittings, and furniture
* Contribute to creative meetings
* Build lighting, furniture, and store concept packs
* Collaborate with the implementation designer on store projects and the development team on small works
* Provide visual renders of fixtures and store concepts for internal and external presentation
* Create bespoke design packs following company guidelines
