Lancashire Double Glazing Group have been successfully trading for 35 years in the Aluminium Façade Industry and currently operate out 6 factories in the North West. The position is at Formes Alutek who we purchased in 2013 and since the acquisition we have gone from strength to strength and the group is now turning over in excess of 20 million pounds per annum. The factory has long standing dedicated employees and mainly responsible for the fabricating our large jobs only.
Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced Production Manager /Planner who can oversee our manufacturing processes and ensure the our production department runs efficiently.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a have solid understanding of the Aluminium or UPVC window and Door Fabrication. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and meeting our delivery programmes whilst making sure that our products are made to the highest standard before leaving the factory.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily production operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
* Oversee the assembly process, coordinating with various teams to optimise workflow.
* Implement and maintain effective business processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Utilise SAP systems for tracking production metrics and inventory management.
* Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Identify areas for continuous improvement within the production process and implement necessary changes.
* Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
* Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
* Oversee goods in and goods out
Experience
* Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and their application in production processes.
* Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
* Experience with quality control processes and standards is highly desirable.
* Proficient in using SAP or similar systems for managing production data.
* We would consider someone working in the UPVC industry in a similar position.
