Join Our Team as a Weekend Support Worker
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £12.30 per hour plus benefits
Hours: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 8.00 am – 4.00 pm, 1:00 pm– 9.00 pm, 2:00 pm– 10:00 pm (Saturday and Sunday on a shift rota basis. Shift timings may vary based on the needs of the people supported)
Contract: Part time, Permanent

Essential Criteria
Exposure to two of the following areas of expertise is required:
* Visual impairment
* High complex physical health needs
* Autism, mental health, and learning disabilities
About You
If you enjoy making a difference, have a calm, caring, and resilient nature, and can stay composed under pressure, we want to hear from you! A manual UK driving license and comfort with driving alternative vehicles are desirable.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Support Worker, you'll support individuals in their daily lives and help them achieve their goals. Your responsibilities include:
* Assisting with personal care, meal prep, medication, and daily tasks.
* Building relationships and understanding individual needs.
* Encouraging independence and supporting personal goals.
* Supporting social activities and hobbies.
* Ensuring respect, dignity, and equality for individuals and their families.
Who You Will Be Supporting
At Waterside House, we support 14 individuals with disabilities including visual impairment, autism, physical disabilities, mental health, and learning disabilities. Examples of their interests include:
* John: Music lover, radio show host, enjoys talking about music and weather.
* Jan: Football fan, ukulele player, former Salvation Army band member.
* Jane: Enjoys Reiki, art, animals, and Coldplay.
* Joe: Music enthusiast, electric wheelchair named Katy Perry, knowledgeable about music lyrics.
* Josh: History enthusiast, former West Wycombe tour guide, loves swimming.
* Jake: Social butterfly, volunteer, gym enthusiast, Buckingham Palace guest.
* Jon: Independent wheelchair user, enjoys cinema, meeting friends, skydiving.
