About The Role We are looking for a Microbiology Lab Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our laboratory. This role involves sample preparation and testing across microbiology and chemistry functions, as well as preparing media and maintaining accurate laboratory records in line with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. You will play a key part in ensuring the lab environment and equipment are maintained to a high standard, while working collaboratively with colleagues to support efficient and high-quality testing. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a proactive, organised approach and a strong attention to detail. Required Criteria Relevant laboratory experience, ideally within microbiology or chemistry, with the ability to demonstrate practical laboratory skills Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems an accurate record keeping (e.g. ISO/IEC 17025 standards) Good organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team Desired Criteria Third-level qualification in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline Experience working within a regulated laboratory environment or food testing setting Skills Needed Communication, Verbal and Written Skills, Teamwork Salary Not disclosed Skills: Communication Verbal and Written Skills Teamwork Benefits: Vacation, Paid time off Retirement plan and/or pension Flexible schedule Competitive salary
