Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 7) – Parkinson’s Disease Practitioner

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in Parkinson’s Disease to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist with expertise in Parkinson’s Disease, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and client-centered occupational therapy services. You will work with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease to enhance their daily functioning, independence, and overall quality of life. A valid driving license and access to a car are essential for this role, as home visits may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
2. Developing and implementing personalized occupational therapy interventions to address motor, cognitive, and psychosocial difficulties.
3. Providing support and education to clients and their families to enhance self-management and coping strategies.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community services to ensure a holistic approach to care.
5. Conducting home visits and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
6. Degree in Occupational Therapy.
7. HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
8. Significant experience working as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on Parkinson’s Disease.
9. Previous experience at a Band 7 level or equivalent.
10. Valid driving license and access to a car for home visits.
