Oxfordshire County Council are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our City Adult Social Care Team on a locum basis. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting adults to live independently and safely, using a strength-based approach that promotes resilience andmunity connections.
Your new role
You will work within the framework of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant legislation, delivering high-quality assessments, reviews, and interventions.Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake timely and proportionate assessments and reviews.
2. Develop oue-focused support plans.
3. Assess and provide equipment, assistive technology, and housing adaptations.
4. Work collaboratively with health professionals, housing partners, andmunity agencies.
5. Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance.
6. Maintain accurate, defensible records and contribute to service development.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
8. Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and safeguarding principles.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
10. Excellentmunication and record-keeping skills.
Desirable: Post-qualifying training (, Best Interest Assessor, AMHP, Practice Educator), experience with equipment and housing adaptations.
