Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate wishing to undertake a fast-paced role within a supportive and sociable team. The post holder will be based within Royal Cornhill Hospital Pharmacy Team.
No previous hospital experience is necessary as the post holder will benefit from training in all aspects of the role.
This role includes a weekend rota and public holiday working.
Essential Requirements:
Pharmacy Technician: You will be a qualified technician with BTec/NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent. You must also be professionally registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Desirable: You should have or be willing to train to accredited checking technician level.
Student Technician: Minimum of 4 National 5, O grades at level 2 or above or equivalent.
Essential: Maths, English, Chemistry and Biology.
*If appointed to the Student Pharmacy Technician role, the post will be offered under the terms of Annex 21, Agenda for Change, Arrangements for pay and banding of trainees to allow you to successfully complete the training required.
As this post is a training post and you are offered the post under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, you will be paid a percentage of the Pay Band 4 Maximum Point. Once you have achieved all relevant qualifications and competencies, you will move to Band 4. The percentage will be determined by your training requirements and expected duration to complete both the qualifications and competencies, which will be agreed and communicated in writing by your Line Manager.
