Overview
Full Time Veterinary Surgeon. Salary dependent upon experience. Exciting new opportunity to join a cutting edge team with Hospital status. Situated very close to the metropolitan city of Leeds, with easy access to the motorway network. Recent winners of 'Best vet practice in UK'.
This great established team is made up of various levels of experience including certificate holders in surgery, medicine, dentistry and ECC. They run their own team of night vets, so there are NO OOHs with this role, but they can offer continuity of care in practice so this role would suit someone who is looking to work up cases and be confident that ongoing inpatients are kept on site.
Caseload includes orthopedic referral, dentistry, endoscopy and platelet therapy, oncology/chemo and blood transfusions alongside high end first opinion, and there are a great team of nurses to support you.
This role would be based solely onsite at the hospital and would be a 4 day week with 1:4 weekends.
The team are looking for an experienced colleague (ideally with 2 years UK) and can offer a very competitive salary alongside certificate funding and support. You will be able to deal efficiently with first opinion and ECC, in a busy practice and applications from vets who are proficient with medicine and imaging would be particularly favourable to compliment the team balance. They are particularly keen to speak to colleagues with an interest studying or with the desire to start certificates in Ophthalmology, dermatology or surgery.
