We are currently looking for SMART Meter Engineer Support Agents with electricity & gas meter experience to join our growing Field Debt Solutions team. Here you will play an important role in helping our customers resolve their debts. You will work with our customers to support them with any future payments, installing PAYG where it’s the best option, as well as helping them find ways to reduce energy consumption.
We will provide you with all the necessary equipment: smartphone, tablet, tools, uniform, vehicle, and fuel card. We will train you to install SMART meters the E.ON way and to offer the right payment options to our customers. After your training period, you will be able to earn extra through our achievable reward scheme, allowing you to top up your earnings based on delivering excellent customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include
1. Delivering excellent service to our customers by understanding their circumstances and helping them agree on an appropriate solution to resolve their debt.
2. Planning efficient routes to reduce carbon footprint.
3. Carrying out investigations, collating evidence, and obtaining information.
4. Identifying new tenants through face-to-face discussions, Letting Agents, and neighbors while complying with DPA (Data Protection Act).
5. Exchanging meters to SMART Pay as You Go or Classic Prepayment.
6. Leading a warrant team to force entry to customer premises for meter exchanges/disconnections where necessary.
* Recording job information using the appropriate paperwork or electronic equipment.
* Must have access to broadband at home to upload daily data. A set monthly broadband allowance will be included in your salary.
What we need from you
* A full valid UK/EU driving license (preferably clean, with a maximum of 6 points).
* MOCOPA/CMA1/MET2 certifications.
* SMART Meter & Dual Fuel training.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
* Live within the area and be willing to travel.
* Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Additional information
* The salary for this role is up to GBP41,791, including a base salary of GBP39,451, revenue protection work (added after training), skilled allowance for gas metering, and an on-target reward scheme, with potential earnings up to GBP4,800 for high performance.
* This is a permanent position.
