Band - 4 (£26,530 - £29,114)
Hours - 2 x 30h/week
Contract - Fixed term 12 months (possible secondment for internal applications)
Responsibilities
We are offering an excellent opportunity and are looking to recruit two motivated individuals to work in our newly developing multi-agency Family Hubs as Single points of contact in Calderdale. The role will be part of the 0-5 Calderdale Public Health Early Years’ service, health visiting, and the 5-19 Public Health Young People Service School Nursing teams within Locala.
The Calderdale Health Visiting and School Nursing Service seeks a motivated, enthusiastic nursery nurse (or equivalent) to join the multi-agency single point of contact for families team, based at Princess Building in Halifax. This role is a new addition to the existing early support contact centre for Calderdale families and will closely link with the Calderdale 0-19 services.
The role offers the chance to make a real difference to children, families, and communities by delivering the Healthy Child Programme, promoting child development, safeguarding children, preventing social exclusion and deprivation, and tackling public health issues.
As an experienced and qualified Nursery Nurse or NVQ level 3 equivalent, you will work as part of a team providing high-quality support, advice, and signposting to families in Calderdale via a contact centre. Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a flexible approach are essential.
A commitment to partnership working with statutory and voluntary agencies is vital to improve outcomes for children and address health inequalities in diverse populations.
Experience working with high-need families is desirable but not essential, as support, preceptorship, and professional development are available.
If you meet the criteria and are educated at CACHE Diploma level 3 or NVQ level 3, or hold an NNEB/diploma in childcare education, please apply.
Ability to travel within the community is required.
