Position: Planner
We are seeking a highly organised and strategic Defence Planner to support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex defence programmes and operational activities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing robust plans, aligning resources, and ensuring mission objectives are delivered efficiently and in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Working within a fast-paced and high-stakes environment, the Defence Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable planning outputs that support operational readiness and long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, maintain, and update detailed operational and programme plans.
· Coordinate planning activities across multiple departments and stakeholders.
· Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
· Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies.
· Prepare planning documentation, reports, and briefings for senior leadership.
· Ensure compliance with defence standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
· Facilitate planning meetings, reviews, and decision-making forums.
· Analyse data to inform planning assumptions and improve operational effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven experience in planning, programme management, or operational coordination within the defence, government, or aerospace sector.
· Strong understanding of defence planning processes and operational environments.
· Experience working with complex projects, timelines, and multi-stakeholder programmes.
· Proficiency in planning tools, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
· High level of attention to detail and organisational capability.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
· Willingness to work in a regulated and security-conscious environment.

· The role will involve working on-site with clients several days per week.
