Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected manufacturing company, to recruit a Production Supervisor, initially on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on leader to oversee daily operations across our client’s Production, Warehouse and Distribution functions in Sheffield and Nottingham. Key Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor:
* Leading the day‑to‑day running of the factory and warehouse, continually improving working practices to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
* Working to lean manufacturing principles and performance KPIs.
* Maintaining high quality standards, investigating non‑conformances and driving corrective actions.
* Managing the Production Operative team and Drivers, ensuring attendance, conduct and performance meet company expectations.
* Overseeing delivery schedules to ensure customer orders are met on time and to the correct standard.
* Allocating driver and factory resources effectively throughout the day.
* Supporting training, onboarding and ongoing development of Production Operatives.
* Collaborating with other Managers to improve overall operational efficiency.
* Carrying out opening and closing routines as part of the key‑holding team.
* Taking full responsibility for Health & Safety compliance across Production, Warehouse and Distribution.
* Ensuring the production schedule is followed and managed throughout the shift.
* Minimising machinery downtime by identifying issues early and taking action.
* Ensuring maintenance schedules (internal and external) are followed.
* Meeting the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
* Working independently, using your initiative to keep operations running smoothly.
Candidate Requirements for the Production Supervisor:
* Counterbalance FLT Licence
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Good people management
* Positive attitude and happy to chip in
