SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for Child with ADHD Location: Blackpool Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with ADHD in a primary school setting in Blackpool. Role Overview: Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies that support the child’s learning and emotional regulation. Provide consistent, positive reinforcement and help develop social and communication skills. Adapt activities to meet individual needs and encourage engagement in lessons. Monitor progress and contribute to regular feedback for parents and staff. What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting children with ADHD or other additional needs (school-based experience preferred). Patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills. Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain a calm, structured environment. A proactive approach and willingness to work as part of a supportive team.
