Job Description
The key responsibilities are anticipated as, but not limited to the following:
* Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works.
* Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
* Lead on commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
* Provide proactive advice and guidance on all change, including proposed scope changes.
* Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.
* Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including NEC and ICC terms.
* Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly.
* Manage the final account settlements.
* Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes.
Qualifications
* Ideally you will be educated to a degree standard in a related subject or Associate Member of a relevant professional institute with Chartered status.
* Knowledge and experience of NEC 3 and/or NEC 4 contracts.
* Experience of working in the Rail sector is preferable. Also working in a similar role with Consultancies, Clients or main contractors delivering Civils, M&E, and Railway infrastructure projects will also be considered.
* Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role.
* Good communication skills.
