Location: Grantham
Rate: £400 - £420 per day
We are currently looking for experienced and reliable engineers to support operations at a highly automated cold storage facility based near Grantham.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art site featuring high bay systems, automated cranes, conveyors, and monorail systems within a large-scale distribution environment.
The Role:
You will be part of a small on site team, typically working in pairs, carrying out maintenance and support across:
* Automated crane systems (up to 40 metres high)
* Conveyor and monorail systems
* High and low bay storage areas
* General PPM and reactive maintenance
Working Environment:
* Cold storage environment operating at approximately -20°C
* Hypoxic atmosphere with reduced oxygen levels (around 14.4%) to prevent fire risk
* Full PPE provided including specialist cold gear
This role will suit individuals who are physically fit, resilient, and comfortable working in extreme environments.
Shift Pattern:
* Ad hoc shifts available
* Rotating patterns including days and nights
* Typical rotations include 5 on 4 off, 4 on 5 off, or 5 on 5 off
* Two full weekends off per month
Breaks:
* 30-minute break every 2 hours due to environment conditions
Requirements:
* Previous experience in maintenance within automated or industrial environments
* Comfortable working at height and in cold conditions
* Good level of fitness and health
