Location: UK Salary: Competitive EXCELLENT BENEFITS • 25 days holiday bank holidays • Pension • Healthcare scheme • Life assurance • Employee Assistance Programme • Retail discounts • Training opportunities 37.5 hours per week – 1 pm finish on a Friday Hybrid working Job Description The Health, Safety, Environmental, and Facilities Co-ordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of the company’s health, safety, environmental (HSE), and facilities practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies. This role works closely with management and staff to promote a safe, compliant, and well-maintained working environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the promotion and onboarding of health, safety, environmental, and facilities procedures across the company. Support the implementation of HSE and facilities policies in line with internal standards and external regulations. Coordinate updates and reports for the Executive and Senior Leadership Team regarding HSE compliance and facilities matters. Help implement activities to improve safety practices, reduce environmental impact, and support facilities maintenance routines. Support the coordination of fire safety and evacuation procedures and maintain relevant documentation. Assist with the organisation of internal and external audits and help track action plans based on audit outcomes. Coordinate training for first aiders, fire marshals, and other staff involved in safety or facilities roles. Assist in reviewing PPE requirements and control measures in collaboration with relevant teams. Support incident investigations by gathering information, maintaining records, and assisting in reporting under RIDDOR where appropriate. Conduct routine HSE and facilities inspections, recording findings and escalating issues as needed. Monitor training requirements to ensure staff are certified and compliant with safety regulations. Help maintain and apply contractor health and safety procedures and coordinate their activities on-site. Stay informed of relevant legislation changes and help update documentation and practices accordingly. Monitor facilities practices to ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous materials and waste. Support maintenance planning and coordination of scheduled servicing and minor repairs. Report and assist with addressing electrical or mechanical issues, escalating to appropriate service providers or internal teams. Help manage service schedules for contractors and suppliers related to facilities management. Support operational oversight of solar panels and EV charging points. Assist in planning and coordinating minor facilities improvement projects. Skills and Experience Required Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar health, safety, environmental, or facilities support role, ideally within manufacturing or a comparable environment. NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, or working towards certification. Experience supporting internal audits and coordinating responses to findings. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and 9001 standards and associated documentation. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey safety and facilities procedures clearly. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments. Attention to detail and good organisational skills. Basic problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Competent in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience supporting incident investigations and facility maintenance coordination. Self-motivated and capable of following through on assigned responsibilities under guidance.
