As part of the largest CAT dealer in the UK and Ireland, you’ll be at the forefront of our industry-leading field service department, diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar products right where the action is!
What You'll Do:
As a Mobile Plant Fitter, your role will be pivotal in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service. Here’s what you can expect:
* Respond to customer service requests with a clear estimate of arrival times.
* Engage with site management to ensure smooth operations and adherence to customer procedures.
* Diagnose equipment issues using specialized tools and provide detailed information for quotes.
* Identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs, coordinating delivery timelines.
* Carry out repairs and service work to bring machines back to optimal performance.
Your Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team. Here’s what you should bring:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
* Excellent planning and organizational abilities, even under pressure.
* Effective problem-solving skills with a keen analytical mindset.
* A motivated and dynamic self-starter attitude.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Experience with field-based diagnostic tools and heavy earth-moving equipment.
* A valid LDV driving license.
* Apprentice-trained or formally trained (NVQ Level 3 preferred) with significant experience as a service engineer.
* Experience with various construction and static machines.
