Franchise Sales & Development Manager – UK & International

Southern Fried Chicken is a fast-growing global QSR brand, renowned for its bold flavours and iconic brand identity. We are seeking a sales-driven, results-oriented Franchise Sales & Development Manager to lead and accelerate our expansion across the UK and international markets.
This is a highly sales-focused role, ideal for someone who thrives on identifying new business opportunities, converting leads, and building strong franchise partnerships that drive commercial success. While primarily office-based, the role involves occasional travel to engage directly with prospective franchisees, investors, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Franchise Sales & Business Development
* Proactively identify and pursue new franchise opportunities across the UK and international markets.
* Generate qualified leads through networking, events, referrals, and digital channels.
* Qualify prospects, present the franchise offering effectively, and manage the full sales pipeline through to contract signing.
* Negotiate terms and agreements that align with brand standards and commercial objectives.
Sales Strategy & Growth Execution
* Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to expand Southern Fried Chicken’s franchise footprint.
* Collaborate closely with the marketing team on campaigns and promotional initiatives to attract high-quality franchise partners.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging growth opportunities to continually refine sales strategy.
Investor Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both prospective and existing franchise investors.
* Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales journey and onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
Financial & Commercial Oversight
* Assess the financial viability of potential franchisees and evaluate proposed locations.
* Review business plans and collaborate on financial projections to ensure sustainable, profitable franchise growth.
Franchise Onboarding & Handover
* Work closely with operations and training teams to ensure smooth transitions from contract signing to store opening.
* Maintain ongoing visibility during the initial stages of franchisee development to support successful launches.
Brand Advocacy & Representation
* Represent Southern Fried Chicken at industry expos, franchise shows, and networking events to actively promote brand growth.
* Ensure all new franchise partners are fully aligned with the brand’s standards, vision, and values.
Brand Marketing
• Collaborate in formulating, proposing, and refining marketing campaigns aligned with sales objectives and franchise growth. Share insights from franchisee prospects to help tailor marketing messaging and positioning.
• Ensure all marketing materials and campaigns maintain consistency with Southern Fried Chicken’s brand identity and values.
• Participate in market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities for brand positioning.
• Provide feedback on marketing collateral effectiveness from a sales and franchisee perspective.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven track record in franchise sales, business development, or B2B sales (experience in food service or retail is a plus).
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine passion for growing brands.
* Strong understanding of franchise business models, commercial structures, and contract negotiations.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident managing a complex sales pipeline.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability.
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
* Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools.
