About The Role
Electrical Engineer – Balfour Beatty (one Alliance) – Location: Peterborough.
Balfour Beatty plays a key role as part of the Anglian Water’s one Alliance, delivering a significant portion of the organisation’s capital investment programme. As we enter AMP8, we are looking at nature-based, sustainable solutions such as wetlands and urban drainage schemes. This role is part of one of our four business units and provides electrical engineering technical input to projects in the Anglian Water region.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and specify LV electrical installations, distribution systems, and associated specifications, schedules, data sheets and drawings.
* Design and specify LV assemblies, including MCC, LV switchboards and control panels.
* Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (electrical schematics, cable calculations and termination diagrams).
* Liaise with construction teams, operations, suppliers and utility companies on technical issues.
* Specify and select instrumentation based on process design.
You Will Ideally Have
* Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
* Strong electrical engineering background.
* Willingness to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex problems.
* Experience in the water industry is an advantage.
* A full UK driving licence, as site visits are required.
