We have a new exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, working on a Nuclear Building Project (Client Side)
This is a full time role, based on the AWE Burghfield Site in Reading, Berkshire.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for Project Managers with experience in completing complex construction projects to join our defence sector.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly within the nuclear industry, and possess exceptional leadership and organisational skills.
Experience in delivering Instrumentation and Control Systems is essential.
The roles require security clearance at SC level with the ability to obtain DV clearance.
Candidates should be British Citizens and passport holders, and not have worked outside the UK during the past 5 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading the operational management and delivery of projects.
Building relationships with key stakeholders (Client, Contractors, project delivery functions) and maintaining regular communication.
Leading key packages of site works.
Ensuring nuclear safety and quality requirements are achieved to the highest standard.
Performing against a tight schedule and budget through effective management of deliverables, quality requirements, risk, and opportunity management.
Creating an inclusive environment, leading, and motivating others to achieve and deliver successful project outcomes.
Managing and supporting others in implementation and application of project controls and commercial management (NEC3 & 4).
Ensure that key deliverables within each stage of the project are being achieved to the highest standard on a consistent basis.
ABOUT YOU
Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a related field and have certifications in project management (e.g. APM, PMP, PRINCE2 etc.)
Experience in delivering large scale and complex construction projects.
Minimum of 5yrs experience in Project Management and working in a highly regulated environment.
Experience in leading multi contractor and multi-disciplined teams.
Demonstrable stakeholder management skills.
The ability to thrive in pressure situations is essential
