At Reed Learning, you'll make learning and development simpler through a range of learning packages that help organisations, their employees and individuals prosper. As the Head of Apprenticeships, you will play a crucial role within Reed Learning, and will lead, manage and continuously improve our apprenticeship provision. You will have responsibility for the quality, compliance, safeguarding and performance of apprenticeships, working with internal and external stakeholders to work towards an 'Outstanding' provision. You will work with two direct reports (the Apprenticeship Manager and Quality Manager) and the wider apprenticeship team to achieve excellent learner outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the apprenticeship provision, ensuring Reed Learning delivers apprenticeships of the highest quality, ensuring the very best learner outcomes. Build the portfolio of Reed Learning apprenticeship programmes in line with the strategic vision. Create annual delivery schedules with the Apprenticeship Manager and Quality Manager, working with Skills England and employers to review and revise programmes in line with their requirements and industries. Proactively work with the Quality Manager and Apprenticeship Manager with external governance advisors from a compliance, safeguarding and quality perspective, aligning internal processes with DfE and Ofsted requirements. Act as the nominee for Ofsted inspections, preparing the organisation and leading the response to inspections, ensuring that all standards are met or exceeded. Collaborate with employers and industry bodies to ensure apprenticeship programmes remain relevant, innovative, and aligned with industry needs. Oversee the apprentice onboarding process and on-programme administration by the admin team and Apprenticeship Learning Advisers, ensuring onboarding is swift while aligning to compliance and quality regulations. Oversee monthly quality and performance meetings, ensuring apprentices are on track within KPI's through tracking progress reviews, off the job training, attendance, progress with Standards and work with the apprenticeship team to ensure interventions are put in place where needed. Carry out monthly and quarterly reviews with direct reports and filter down ongoing KPI's that support organisations strategic goals and journey towards 'Outstanding'. Proactively review processes, contracts, systems and resources costs, ensuring cost saving, while maintaining quality. Work with the apprenticeship team and external quality adviser to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive continuous quality improvement. Experience and attributes Demonstrable experience in successfully leading and managing apprenticeship provision Experience as an Ofsted nominee, with a clear understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) Familiarity with government regulations, funding models, and compliance requirements Results driven, motivated and passionate about delivering impactful learning Skills Excellent knowledge of apprenticeship standards, frameworks and funding regulations Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a team to achieve high performance Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders Strongly analytical, to support the use of data to drive continuous improvement.
