As a Construction Coordinator at United Utilities, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering major capital and maintenance projects, from treatment works and pumping stations to cutting-edge environmental schemes. On site, you’ll collaborate with supply chain partners and ensure that every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. What you’ll be doing
* Promote a safety culture to deliver excellent Health and Safety performance on site
* Develop strong on-site relationships with UU Operations and Contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
* Fulfil the role of the person coordinating the works under UU’s Work Authorisation and Isolation of Plant and Machinery procedures
* Report on site risks and changes and elevate issues affecting programme / project delivery
* Review the works schedule and method statements and ensure contractor performance conforms to the contract
* Be the first UU point of escalation for customer & third party issues arising from the construction works
* Manage the Defects resolution process
* Manage Handover between the contractor and the site operators/owner
* Assure statutory approvals are obtained and adhered to onsite
* For high-risk, complex works, support the (Senior) Construction Manager on undertaking the above responsibilities on site
What we’re looking for
* Demonstrable working knowledge of NEC3/4 or equivalent contract experience
* Experience and track record of working on construction projects
* Flexible leadership style to suit different situations with effective stakeholder management/communication
* Able to prioritise tasks and finite resources to deliver business targets/objectives
* Technical awareness and competence in civil, mechanical, electrical or ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation)
* Significant infrastructure industry experience or education at degree or HND level
* CITB Site Management Safety Training scheme or equivalent
* Full UK Driving License
