Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Network Security Engineer who is operating as a Palo Alto SME, to come and join the team. You will join our excellent team on an initial 6-month contract with scope to extend, based in Central Europe.
You’ll be acting as the Subject Matter Expert for Palo Alto SASE, with a strong focus on Prisma Access. Leading the design, implementation, optimisation, and support of secure access solutions for enterprise customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver end-to-end implementation of SASE / Zero Trust architectures
* Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into secure network designs
* Configure and troubleshoot:
o GlobalProtect (remote access VPN)
o Service Connections & Remote Networks
o Security policies, NAT, and routing
* Integrate Prisma Access with existing infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, identity providers, SIEM tools)
* Provide technical workshops, knowledge transfer, and documentation to customers
* Support migration from legacy VPN or on-prem firewall solutions to cloud-delivered security
* Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues across hybrid environments
* Collaborate with internal teams (sales, support, project management) to ensure successful delivery
* Stay up to date with Palo Alto Networks technologies and SASE trends
What You’ll Bring
* Must be fluent in English, Spanish and/or Italian
* History of delivering major Prisma Access projects
* Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, especially Prisma Access and PAN-OS firewalls
* Solid understanding of Networking fundamentals (BGP, IPsec, routing, NAT), Security principles, zero trust, segmentation, threat prevention
* History of delivering customer-facing professional services engagements
* Hands‑on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Familiarity with authentication technologies (SAML, LDAP, MFA)
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
