Role Overview This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher to join the school on a part-time basis, initially for 12 weeks on a temporary contract, with a view to becoming permanent. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This role is ideal for a committed and enthusiastic educator looking to contribute meaningfully to a focused, faith-led environment with a strong culture of learning and respect.
Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
Prepare and assess classwork, homework and examinations in line with the curriculum
Monitor student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school-wide initiatives
Support the values and ethos of the school, with an understanding of its religious character
Candidate Requirements Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification in Mathematics
Proven experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 in UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
Desirable:
Previous experience teaching in faith or single-gender schools
Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments in Maths
A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
