Join to apply for the Audi Vehicle Technician role at TieTalent. This position is based at Audi Birmingham with an engaging development path and competitive pay plans reflective of experience and skillset.
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, 40-hour week, with one in three Saturday mornings (average around 41.5 hours per week).
Role and Responsibilities
* Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
* Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack and control systems.
* Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
* Maintain an understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
* Operate additional systems, such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
* Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
* Collaborate with workshop team to share knowledge and continuously learn.
About You
* We welcome candidates from all backgrounds with experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic/Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
* Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we’d love to speak with you.
* Minimum requirement: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or you are working towards it.
* An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
* MOT License would be beneficial but not essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and the ability to ensure work is completed to a high standard; training and facilities are available to support your career progression.
