At Hendy Nissan Southampton, we are looking for a driven and experienced New & Used Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing a fast-paced and dynamic sales department. The focus will be on achieving and exceeding sales targets while ensuring all colleagues deliver outstanding customer service.
You will work alongside other Managers and Directors to ensure the above is achieved, delivering a 100% positive customer experience, guaranteeing loyalty and advocacy.
The Opportunity:
In the Sales Manager role, you will:
1. Build a team that shares our vision of providing 100% satisfaction to colleagues and customers, cultivating trusted, skilled, and appreciated team players.
2. Balance business growth by creating a positive and cohesive environment. Set clear objectives aligned with department goals, our Vision and Values, and provide support, coaching, and management training to optimize performance.
3. Conduct regular reviews, critiques, and appraisals to assess team performance, well-being, and attitude, aiming for maximum performance and development.
4. Set budgets with available resources, develop action plans, and communicate effectively with your team. Provide management information, including forecasts and debtor info, to support operational decisions.
5. Measure and review key performance indicators, ensure maximum add-on sales, optimize profit opportunities, and understand customer needs to exceed expectations.
6. Ensure a 100% positive customer experience, maintain well-presented, relevant vehicles, and adhere to stock management standards. Keep stock levels aligned with financial targets.

About You:
* Proven success managing a sales department in a main dealer environment
* Ability to lead by example, inspire, and manage a team to exceed customer satisfaction and profitability goals
* Creative, curious, and courageous in challenging the status quo
* Strategic thinker capable of analyzing data to support broader objectives
* Confident, credible, and able to relate to stakeholders at all levels
* A full UK driving license
