We are looking for a Lead Solutions Engineer to support the continued growth of our UKI business. You will play a critical role by being the technical expert that helps our UKI team with closing new business opportunities as well as consulting or selling to the most strategic prospects and accounts in the region.
Principal Solutions Engineers play a key role in thought leadership with prospects, create assets based on domain expertise, act as the voice of the GTM teams into the product organization, represent Freshworks at industry conferences and events, and lead big deal conversations to help close large deals. They also mentor the regional solution engineering organization.
As a Principal Solution Engineer you will provide deep technical consultation to prospects and customers, support sales and channel goals, articulate our value proposition and technology solutions, and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle to mid‑market and enterprise customers.
Role Profile
 * Thought Leadership – generate unique problem statements and deep market research.
 * GTM‑Product Bridge – communicate product gaps, bugs and enhancements with product teams.
 * Knowledge Asset Creation – create institutional intellectual property and knowledge from thought leadership.
 * Large Deal Lead – engage mid‑market and enterprise customers at mid‑senior levels.
 * Mentor – guide lead or senior Solution Engineers in technical strategy.
 * Trusted Advisor – nurture long‑term partnership value with customers.
 * Team Collaboration – work closely with extended teams.
 * Technical Evangelist – drive technical win by enabling and engaging customers.
 * Pre‑Sales Participation – deliver technical sales presentations, proofs‑of‑concept, RFP/RFI responses, solution demos, and workshops.
 * Proof‑of‑Concept Management – scope and ensure success of PoCs.
 * Partner Collaboration – develop joint solutions with partners.
Qualifications
 * Native level written and oral communication in English; additional European languages are a plus.
 * Minimum 10 years of technical solution engineering experience, preferably in ITIL/ITSM or SaaS/software product environments.
 * Experience with ITSM/ITIL methodologies and cloud‑based infrastructure.
 * Excellent senior customer stakeholder and internal communication skills.
 * Experience in complex sales cycles in mid‑market and enterprise segments.
 * Strong presentation, demonstration, listening, and customer‑centric skills.
 * Highly driven, execution‑focused, with a strong sense of urgency.
 * Enjoys working in a high‑energy team environment.
