We are looking for a part-time, Information & Support Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming Edhelp Team. This position is fixed term until 31 July 2026 and is based in our historic New College Library. Founded in 1843 as the library of the Free Church College, New College Library now serves the University's School of Divinity. It is one of the largest theology libraries in the UK. It is situated on the Mound just a few minutes’ walk away from Waverley train station and local bus routes.
The Information & Support Assistant will work Tuesday to Friday 1pm till 5pm all year round plus Saturdays 12noon till 5pm during semester (34 weeks) making this role ideal for someone who has to balance work with other commitments.

What the job involves:
8. Providing frontline support to students, staff and visitors of the University across a range of services including Library, IT, Student Finance and Student Administration
9. Giving excellent customer service while offering face-to-face and online help and information to users
10. Shelving, book moving, journal check-in, supporting our scan & deliver service amongst other collections work.
11. Managing a high volume in-person and online enquiries, working flexibly in order to respond to shifting service needs
12. Resolving user queries whenever possible, passing on those which require more specialist help
