Offer description

Join us as an AI & Automation Specialist and play a key role in transforming how Bidwells works.

Sitting within our Data & AI team and reporting to the Head of AI, you’ll turn real business challenges into practical automation solutions that save time, reduce manual effort and help teams work smarter.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to understand how they operate, spot opportunities for improvement alongside building automations and dashboards using the Microsoft Power Platform and emerging AI tools.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where your impact is measured through the efficiency gains and time savings you create. You’ll take ownership of the full lifecycle – from gathering requirements to designing, building, testing and deploying solutions – while staying at the forefront of rapidly evolving low‑code and AI-assisted technologies.

As a bridge between people and technology, you’ll help embed AI into everyday workflows and support Bidwells’ wider digital transformation by making data and automation accessible to everyone.

If you’re excited by practical innovation, continuous improvement and bringing real value to teams across the business, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

* Translating business needs into clear technical requirements and solution specifications.
* Identifying where automation or AI can reduce manual work or improve accuracy.

* Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards that provide clear visibility of key metrics.
* Working with teams to define meaningful KPIs and visualisations.
* Ensuring dashboards are accurate, performant, secure and aligned with stakeholder needs.
* Providing user support and training to encourage confident adoption of self‑service reporting.

AI Tool Adoption & Support

* Supporting the rollout and everyday use of Microsoft Copilot and other AI-assisted tools.
* Creating guidance, examples and best‑practice materials to help colleagues use AI effectively.
* Identifying valuable AI use cases whilst helping teams to integrate them into their workflows.
* Providing first-line support for AI‑related queries, escalating wherever necessary.
* Staying aware of new AI features and sharing relevant updates with the wider team.
* Staying current with developments in the Power Platform, automation tools and AI technologies.
* Undertaking training and certifications to enhance technical capability.
* Documenting solutions and processes to support knowledge sharing.

* Providing clear updates to stakeholders on progress, challenges and outcomes.
* Collaborating with IT to ensure solutions meet governance and security standards.
* Building strong relationships with colleagues across all departments to support adoption and engagement.

About You:

* Experience in building solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
* Practical experience using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to solve problems, ideally with Vibe Coding.
* Strong understanding of process improvement and workflow design.
* Ability to gather and clearly document business requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
* Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
* Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, particularly AI and automation.
* Ability to manage workload independently whilst meeting deadlines.
* Certifications in the Power Platform (PL‑900, PL‑100, PL‑400) or Power BI (PL‑300).
