We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Control and Accounts Manager to lead our Credit Control team within our Property and Asset Management team. The role is pivotal in managing debt recovery for two of our largest residential portfolios, working closely with both the finance and property management team to ensure tenant arrears are minimised and client expectations are exceeded.
The post holder will join our hub office in Birmingham where you will work alongside over 100 professionals across our main divisions which means there are lots of exciting events going on with various office socials, health & wellbeing and fundraising activities to get involved in.

* Lead and manage a team of Accounts Managers, providing guidance and support.
* Ensure team performance aligns with established KPIs and service standards.
* Act as the primary point of contact for client liaison, maintaining strong relationships.
* Prepare and deliver accurate, timely client reports.
* Peer review and assure accuracy of data being used in legal cases.
* Oversee the collection of rents and other monies due.
* Proactively manage our historic arrears project.
* Proactively manage and reduce tenant arrears through effective recovery strategies.
* Maintain precise records of all debt recovery activities.
What will it take to be successful?
The successful candidate will have experience in Property Management or Account Management, with a proven track record in leading and managing teams. They will demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office is essential, along with sound analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required, as well as the capability to build and sustain strong client relationships. The role demands a collaborative team player with a proactive and enthusiastic approach, supported by effective time management and organisational skills.
