Teaching Personnel are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools in the Taunton area. This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people with additional needs thrive in both their learning and personal development.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials where needed
Helping to manage behaviour in a positive, supportive way
Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure each pupil can access the curriculum
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting young people with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, social/emotional needs) is highly desirable
Patient, resilient, and able to build strong, positive relationships with students
Confident in supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
A team player who is committed to making a difference in students’ lives
Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not essential – training can be provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
