Assembly & Test Technician - Aerospace Manufacturing (Permanent Night Shift) Location: Onsite - Tewkesbury, UK Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Night Shift (after 3-month training period) Monday & Tuesday: 8:45pm - 6:15am / Wednesday: 9:00pm - 6:15am / Thursday: 9:15pm - 6:30am - Includes night shift allowance I am currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly & Test Technician on behalf of my client, a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team within a modern, high-tech production facility, working on precision components for commercial aircraft systems. This is a stamp holder role, requiring a high standard of workmanship, accuracy, and responsibility for progressing your own work through to final inspection. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the assembly and testing process, including diagnostics, rework, and finishing techniques. You'll benefit from a supportive team environment and a comprehensive benefits package that includes: *33 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays) *Private Medical Insurance *Life Assurance and Company Pension (starting at 6%) *Flexible benefits scheme and employee share options *Free onsite parking and EV charging *Mental health support and financial wellbeing resources Key Responsibilities *Carry out precision assembly and testing of aerospace components *Clean parts prior to assembly and perform finishing techniques such as wire locking and labelling *Conduct diagnostic tests to verify failures and assist with root cause identification *Disassemble and rework components as needed *Perform flow matching operations and adhere to approved documentation and procedures *Maintain accurate records and follow all safety and quality protocols *Self-inspect work and progress parts through to final inspection Skills & Experience *Previous experience in a production or assembly/test environment (preferably within aerospace or similar precision engineering sectors) *Confident with the use of hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment *Engineering apprenticeship preferred, though significant relevant work experience will also be considered *Strong diagnostic skills and understanding of servo valve operations *Ideally a current or former stamp holder, or able to demonstrate high-quality self-inspection skills *Familiarity with working from technical documentation and accurately recording data *Understanding of 5S principles is beneficial; training will be provided if needed *Must be able to pass a standard eye test This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and quality-focused technician to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, with long-term stability and a competitive salary and shift package.
