Head of HR £60,000 – £80,000 London, UK Permanent We are seeking an experienced HR professional who is confident working autonomously in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge across core HR practices and responsibilities, bringing both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery within a fast-paced workplace. The ideal candidate will be people-oriented and skilled at building trust at all levels. You will lead by example, set clear expectations and help create a culture that supports accountability and high performance. What you’ll do: Lead employee engagement, wellbeing and culture strategy. Serve as HR lead and partner to the CEO and leadership team. Provide people insights and reporting to leadership and the board. Manage the full employee lifecycle, supporting engagement and performance. Confident in handling complex cases independently, providing practical HR advice and support. Lead and evolve the global people strategy to support growth and performance. Drive HR operations, systems and policies ensuring compliance and commercial alignment. Handle payroll processes with external providers ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Oversee recruitment and support workforce planning through hiring strategy. What you’ll need: Significant HR experience, ideally within retail or similarly fast-paced environments. Proven experience in a senior HR or Head of People role. Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders. Excellent communicator, confident in building relationships and challenging constructively. Experience across performance management and employee engagement. Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
