Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal role at IVC Evidensia. Salary up to £70,000 DOE and relocation allowance up to £5,000. This is a position at Lynton Vets in Woking, part of a wider community-focused practice network.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a welcoming team, where building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional patient care come first.
Responsibilities
* Balance consulting and surgical duties, with procedures ranging from routine neutering and lump removals to soft tissue surgery.
* Collaborate with a skilled nursing team: Registered Veterinary Nurses run their own clinics and support with vaccinations, post-operative checks, discharges, admissions, and medication injections.
* Work within a purpose-built hospital-standard practice with modern facilities (ultrasound, X-ray, multiparameters, private spaces for cats and dogs, and a dedicated imaging and lab area).
* Be flexible in workload planning to align with your strengths and interests (consult-only or surgery-focused roles available).
Team and Environment
You will join a supportive team of seven Veterinary Surgeons, ten Registered Veterinary Nurses, student nurses, ANAs, and a reception team. The practice occasionally hosts a visiting orthopaedic specialist and supports local and national charities.

Work-Life Balance
This is a full-time position (four days over 40 hours) with no out-of-hours commitment. A 1:4 Saturday rota (8:30am–4:00pm) with time off in lieu. Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Occasional travel to Addlestone and Bagshot branches may be required.
Location and Accommodation
Main site: Woking, Surrey. Self-contained accommodation is available at the Bagshot practice for those relocating.
