An exciting opportunity has come up – we are looking for a new Matron to join our team.
Qualifications
Candidate must be a qualified Nurse with substantial experience, including clinical experience at a senior level. They should possess strong clinical and leadership skills, be passionate and committed to delivering high standards of care, and be able to work with partnership organisations to deliver a safe and robust service.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership for the inpatient nursing team and support wider services across Eating Disorders.
* Develop and implement nursing standards, improving clinical practices and ensuring compliance with policies and service specifications.
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, management and senior nursing leadership.
* Oversee nursing leadership, ensuring professional standards, promoting career development and maintaining compliance with professional codes.
* Support staff training, recruitment, retention and development of nursing protocols.
* Advise on infection control, safeguarding and best practice in nursing; ensure systems for clinical supervision are in place.
* Collaborate on service improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of policies and represent the service at external events.
* Maintain effective clinical systems to ensure delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
