Join the new Baird Family Hospital and launch your Perioperative management career – Band 7 SCN/ODP for Women’s Perioperative Services in preparation for the new Baird Family Hospital. Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is situated on Foresterhill Campus overlooking the modern, busy city of Aberdeen and the beautiful North Sea. The site is transforming as we build a state‑of‑the‑art Baird Family Hospital. We are looking for senior charge nurses to lead women’s perioperative services, with expertise in anaesthetics, recovery and/or scrub specialities, preferably in breast, gynaecology or genitourinary.
Responsibilities and Expectations
* Lead and manage the theatre team, ensuring high quality, safe and efficient care.
* Recruit, train and support staff to achieve clinical excellence.
* Implement and drive clinical service improvement initiatives across scrub, anaesthetics, recovery and surgical specialisms.
* Collaborate with the commissioning team to bring the six‑operating room suite to life.
* Champion continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Highly experienced in anaesthetics, recovery and/or scrub specialities, particularly in women’s services.
* Well‑established record of leadership, development and clinical service improvement.
* Strong communication, organisational and team‑building skills.
* Band 7 or equivalent clinical classification.
