We are seeking an exceptional Digital Technology Director to lead and deliver a large-scale digital transformation programme within a complex, asset-intensive organisation. This is a pivotal executive-level role responsible for shaping and executing a long‑term technology strategy that supports operational excellence, resilience, and sustainable growth.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a technology leader with deep experience in heavy asset industries such as maritime, logistics, energy, infrastructure, or utilities, where operational technology, asset performance, and system integration are critical to business success.

Salary circa £180K – £220K
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation Leadership
* Lead enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives across systems, data, and infrastructure.
* Drive adoption of SaaS, cloud platforms, and modern digital capabilities.
* Embed a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
Technology Strategy & Architecture
* Define a scalable, secure, and future‑ready technology landscape.
* Oversee enterprise architecture, ensuring integration between legacy and modern platforms.
* Align technology investments with long‑term business objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead and inspire a multi‑disciplinary technology leadership team (Architecture, Projects, Data).
* Build organisational capability and foster a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
Programme & Delivery Oversight
* Oversee a portfolio of complex digital and transformation programmes.
* Ensure delivery excellence across scope, budget, timelines, and quality.
Vendor & Partner Management
* Manage strategic relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
* Lead contract negotiations and ensure value delivery from partners.
Cybersecurity & Governance
* Establish robust cybersecurity frameworks across enterprise and operational environments.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
Innovation & Future‑Proofing
* Identify and leverage emerging technologies (AI, IoT, data platforms).
* Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency through innovation.
Budget & Commercial Management
* Own and manage significant technology budgets.
* Ensure strong ROI and cost optimisation across all technology investments.
About You
We are looking for a strategic, commercially astute technology leader with:
* Senior technology leadership roles within heavy asset industries (maritime, shipping, logistics, energy, utilities, infrastructure, or similar).
* Proven track record delivering large‑scale digital transformation in complex, operational environments.
* Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, including integration of legacy systems with modern platforms.
* Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud technologies, and data‑driven ecosystems.
* Experience managing both IT and operational technology (OT) landscapes.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and influence at executive level.
* Strong commercial acumen, including budget ownership and vendor management.
* Experience driving cultural change and digital adoption across organisations.
