Design Engineer : Erdington, Birmingham : Up to A GBP 45,000 per annum plus benefits

Were looking for a Design Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer, driving innovation from concept through to serial production.
In this role, youll take ownership of the design and development of tyres used across civil and military aviation. Youll combine your engineering expertise with cutting:edge design tools to ensure every product meets the highest levels of safety, performance, and compliance.
What youll be doing:
* Developing tyre design parameters in line with airworthiness and aircraft manufacturer requirements.
* Producing design definitions including geometry, specifications, tolerances, and tooling parameters.
* Supporting the creation of new design toolsets and performance analysis methods.
* Coordinating tyre qualifications with both customers and regulatory authorities.
What were looking for:
* BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (MSc an advantage).
* 3+ years product design experience (preferably aerospace, automotive, or tyres).
* Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks/AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA (Abaqus).
* Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
* A proactive team:player with excellent communication abilities.
