The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our CEEMEA Financials research team, to be based in London or Dubai. This role involves active coverage of banks and other financials’ equities listed / domiciled in Central & Eastern Europe and requires delivering high-quality research and actionable investment ideas to institutional clients. It offers significant exposure to senior managements of global corporates, a wide spectrum of global institutional investors and a diverse set of talented colleagues all of which can offer a steep learning curve and multiple opportunities for networking and career development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Initiate and maintain regular equity research coverage of banks’ and other financial institutions’ stocks in the CEE region.
* Conduct detailed financial and industry analysis and maintain up-to-date sector databases.
* Build and update financial models, including earnings forecasts and valuation metrics.
* Write research reports, presentations, and thematic pieces.
* Monitor and effectively respond to corporate news flow and sector developments.
* Market investment ideas to institutional investor clients of Jefferies and to sales, trading, and other partners within Jefferies
* Collaborate with other equity research analysts within the team and in other geographies for client service and product collaboration
Qualifications & Skills
* 4–5 years of experience covering or supporting coverage of banks or other financials in the CEE region.
* Strong academic background (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree) with a record of achievement.
* Professional accreditations such as CFA (or progress toward CFA) are advantageous.
* Highly numerate with strong analytical, accounting and financial modeling skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of CEE languages is a plus.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, display good team attitude and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to travel extensively for client and corporate meetings and other official business as needed.
